Good Find Friday: Portland Gardens

I went to Portland on Saturday to see Sweeney Todd at the wonderful Portland Center Stage.  Before the show, I stopped by Washington Park to visit the Japanese Garden.  I hadn’t been to Washington Park before, but it reminded me of Golden Gate Park in San Francisco.  A beautiful setting with many fun activities to choose from.

It was a happy accident to walk back to the parking lot and see the entrance for the International Rose Test Garden.  I usually think of roses peaking in June, but there were many colorful and fragrant varieties still going strong.  Although it was overcast when I arrived, it ended up being a beautiful and warm Fall day.

If you’re in the Portland area, Washington Park is a high recommend.  Enjoy!
