Worn out from all the big holiday parties already?  Me, too!  It’s time to take a night off and stay in with your spouse or a few close friends.

There’s something about throwing a cocktail party that’s so cool and retro.  Even if you’re not the world’s greatest mixologist, you can find something to serve from one of the links below.  My favorite?  Of course glühwein (mulled wine).  They make it in huge vats at the Munich Christkindlmarkt.  Uh, it’s up to you if you want to fire it up at 9 AM, but it’s been known to happen in Bavaria!

Take a little help from the store if you must, but I was inspired by the simple and delicious ideas I found like the marinated mozzarella skewers and goat cheese stuffed mushrooms.  Choose a few of your favorites and then pair them with a nice cheese plate, some bite-size fruits and vegetables, and nuts like the sweet and spicy pecans.  Now put your feet up and enjoy – de salud!
